(14 April 2019) Trying to quit smoking? Quitting an addictive substance such as nicotine is hard, especially without support. In fact, a study conducted in the UK in 2012 showed that those who enlisted the help of their doctor to quit, were four times more likely to succeed!
How may a doctor help you quit? Depending on your circumstances, your doctor may talk to you about counselling options, medication options, and/or other options, such as hypnotherapy.
